Although they are powerful gems apparently you can only get these gems and equipment from the Shapeshifter once which means you could use the gems on the Foreign commanders, but it may cost a lot of rubies to remove if you want to include them in the original set.Herveus (AU1) said:Get gems , put them on fl comm and ya got a bomb (some gems twice , others not at all)

I think the amount of blue charms awarded needs changing.
On some hits i just sent 32 on full hardcore and won 50 charms, on some attacks I sent a proper hit on normal mode with decent tools and still only got 50 charms.
I appreciate that the number of charms is based on red points but cant help but think it needs maybe another tier
something like 700-1100 red points = 100 blue charms?

I really hope that you intend to make some huge changes to this event, as right now its very poor, Interesting that just a very short period of time ago when people spend a lot of money getting commanders that went over 90, at that point in time your response was this needs nerfing it totally unbalances the game, when it was suggested to you that the commanders were capped to still allow over 90 but the cap would control and limit the strength, you were still adamant that it woudld unbalance the game, lo- and behold a few short months after all of a sudden is now fine to go 110 strength, not a sniff of the game becoming unbalanced, all the old fears of the game imploding gone. I guess shows what the whole thing was all about, it was about exploting those players that spend money in good faith in the expectation that they would get what they paid for. If you were so sure it was the right thing to do for the game there was a very simple answer give the players that lost out their money back, hell even their virtual currency back. Yet you couldnt even do that.
The truth normally outs eventually and the fact you have gone down exactly the same route as players were taking with gems, proves there was actually nothing wrong, with the balance of the game, only that you saw an opportunity to generate more money, unfortunatly at the expense of those that had already done this. ANd instead of chosing a fair and equitable solution, you chose the one that shat on your players from a great hight.
The reality is the best prizes in the world are not going to change the fact that the event in its current form is poor in so many areas, I really am still not clear what it is you were trying to achieve, but it seems to me you stripped out, all the skill, variation, excitement, risk vs reward. elements of PVP, and served us up some half baked toned down, neutered verson of pvp, that is neither engaging, or needs any sort of thought, or skill, you took away all the risk / reward element, completly in the case of the defender, rendering it pointless. You made it so the actual gameplay element of the event takes about 5 mins per day ie setting up the attack and clicking send. the rest of it is sat waiting for your commander to make the painfully slow walk, to the target, and you find yourself not really being bothered what happens when he lands, as if all your troops die, surprise they dont!! the difference between hitting a brick wall or slaughtering your opponent really makes little difference certainly not in what you or your opponent lose, but also in what you gain either!!!. So players go through the motions of clicking 5 times a day for the 14 days of the event, not becasue they are engaged or really bothered, not becasue the leaderboards show who is putting any effort in to the event, just the ones that can be botherd to make the 5 clicks a day required.
Do you have people that play the game? have they tried to convey what its like sending out a risky att what its like waiting for the attack to land constantly spying your opponent to see if and how much support will arrive, to see if you picked a good setup, a good time of day, a good distance, the right commander. did i hit form the right castle / the right location. am i going to get destroyed, or am I going to get everything right and just sneak through the defenses, and make a big kill.
This event retains non of that.
The things that are killing real Pvp have been listed many times, but it seems you do not actually want to address those points, When you brought in FI/crows you effectly removed the point of Pvp, you need to make the rewards for REAL Pvp relevent again, you need to remove the abilty to stack castles. And most of all you need to remove the sheer volume of shells / multis / shared accounts. PW sharers that Blight the game, you know its happening, have known a very very long time MAKE anyone wishing to play the game, run A GUI on their computer a Gui that allows access to the game, and also collects data, like Location, Mac address of the PC, that shares the real IP of the player that sits behind any VPN, and ensures that the registerd player IS the player playing the game. and when you find abuse PUNISH IT, by banning the accounts.
Until you bite the bullet and do that your hopes of restoring Pvp, are going to fail, the reality is you know what needs to be done, all your players know what needs to be done, grow some balls and do it, clean the game up, and you never know if you remove the rubbish the game might actually start to regenerate!

just in case anyone wondered, the best results we encountered so far were a full 6 wave attack against an almost empty castle on full hardcore mode. Got us 2000 red points and 150 blue charms

I got 2k+ in full hardcore against >2k castles , lowerd my mp to 500k for it though. So yeah they said lowering mp does not work , But it clearly does , have a few more that also tried it and it worked.

Yep , Actual PvP hits give less than easy snipes that can be done by anyone with a pair of brain cells.

Ok for my sins did 4 fully tooled attacks last night and only 1 gave any decent points (500)
- the other attack was 5 waves t/c and 6th wave 20/20/20 USING DEFENDERS - and got same points as the other tooled attacks ! (200ish)
- so i'm not going to waste tools trying for extra tokens - will just send as my 5th attack blind and accumulate the tokens ! saving tools !
Edited : hope this gives some people the easy way to score a few points !

I did very well and STILL have no clue how the point system works.
I'm pretty sure at this point that it's not simply based on ratio of troops lost to troops killed. Can also verify it has nothing to do with how quickly you break the wall. Has to be something related to the type of troops, or maybe the might variance is a factor as well. Maybe even a calculation that takes in all of: your own sent/loss ratio and the loss/killed ratio and the type of troops involved.
Wouldn't it be funny if it was completely random?

The only difference that I can tell is I won the second battle and not the first but what sense does that make?

Interesting. They did advise in Stream to not go on full hardcore mode, but in some situations you could actually get away with it especially against a castle with weak cast and/or a very small number troops stationed in a Shapeshifter castle. Just look at those two reports and tell me it isn't randomized or you get shafted by this system. I killed almost 100 times as many in the first as in the second but in the second attack I got more red blood and more charms. The only difference that I can tell is I won the second battle and not the first but what sense does that make?
Edit: The espionage report of only 3 was misleading and there turned out to be a lot more troops stationed inside, but even on full hardcore mode and not sending six full waves I still won all three positions, had only 78 casualties, and made like 1.2k points from full hardcore and also got 150 charms as well. The cast was still the same though of only 9.4% melee total with no bonuses for ranged. I am still left wondering what would have happened if I had sent six full waves and if it could have gotten me more points and closer to the 2k. I only sent the faster troops though with 50 speed which would help explain why I did not send in full waves.
