Dear brave warriors,

We'll be live broadcasting via Twitch next Tuesday, December 5, at 18:00 CET and present you a deeper outlook of the upcoming Attack of the Shapeshifters event. 

During the broadcast, we'll show you the current art style of the new event and dig deeper into the event mechanic by playing it live on our test environment. 

The broadcast will be hosted by our Head of Studio Nina, the Empire Family Creative Director Bruno and our Art Team Lead Peter. They will guide you through the show and present the Attack of the Shapeshifters event in more detail. 

After the event presentation there will be some time to raise questions regarding the new event via the chat and we'll answer as many as possible.

Some additional notes:
The goal of this format is to have a more direct communication approach with all of you from our communities and we hope to see as many as possible on Tuesday. We're also planning to host live broadcasts on a more regular basis in the future.

Will it be showing how to capitalize on this event with tons of alts, and shell alliances, as well as bots?  Cause  that's the way this game is really played now.  Good thing this is a long event, cause some folks might get caught cheating and get a 12 hour suspension!!  oh wait GGE is not talking about that are they!!!

I think perhaps you need to immediately clarify for those you've recommended whether it is free or a free trial.  It looked to me to be a free trial which would ultimately result in players of a free to play game potentially incurring costs further down the line.  Could you confirm the relationship between GGE and Twitch if any is there any financial relationship between the two for users signing up for example.  I don't see an issue with that and I can see the benefit but it's hard enough to get players to use the forum if we have to chase content and update information to every latest fad site rather than being able to get simple answers to simple questions on the forum what's the point of having a forum as recently we just get information in the form of press releases.  I can see the advantages of the approach of something like Twitch but I think sometimes you assume a level of technical knowledge and competence that you might have that we simply don't.  And in the time you spent preparing this Twitch thing you could have answered enough questions on the forum to make it redundant.  Odds on players in UK getting home through Christmas traffic to be in a position to remember to sign up and ask questions not high.

Also judging by the amount of other games on that site not sure from a marketing point of view in terms of retaining customers you want to introduce them to other options in that way.

Having watched the chat I was wrong to be so cynical.  I watched the whole thing and thought it was really well done.  Open, honest, answered the difficult questions, made the development easily understandable, allayed a lot of concerns and fun to watch.  I would recommend it.  Great way of getting information across and actually felt a lot more positive about the direction of travel afterwards, clear GGE are listening and acting on feedback from players when they can within the constraints of the development.  Looking at it seems the event is definitely worth giving it a good go.  I learnt I need to be more open to new approaches ;)

Agree 100%. I'd love to see them do more live streams like this one in the future.

I think it would be good to do it again some timewith a general Q&A, I feel there are certain suggestions/questions around ruby buying that we'd all like to ask and it would be good to understand the studio's viewpoint as well as make clear our own

-Storm rewards are getting upgraded soon. Bruno talked about it happening in a monthly update package but unsure if he was hinting at it being at the end of this month.
-Alliance tournament / Royal Capital will come back but no details on time.
-We will get PvP commanders in an upcoming monthly event
-They want to do more art competitions

Your summary sounds pretty accurate except for one thing.

The alliance tournament was asked about, but I don't believe we were told it would be coming back. Beri in green, however, was also asked about, and that will be coming back sometime in 2018.

Well, if Batten says it was progressive. It must have been. 

Interested to see something like this become a regular thing. I missed the stream, unfortunately, but it appears that it was productive. Good to see.
