Watch Dogs
Assassins Creed 4
Dota 2
League of Legends
The Elder Scrolls Online
Skyrim
Far Cry 2, 3, and 4
TES: Oblivion and Morrowind
GTA IV

-you may prefer them, but those are all opinions, meaning they change from person to person. you may like them, but someone may prefer GGE to all them

-not all of those are MMOs. some people like to play here with friends from all over

-some people actually like GGE

-its fairly addicting, so even if you dont think its the best, its still not the worst

I like a lot of the games in that list and play some of them. I like GGE. Why doesn't everyone just play what they want to play and we are all happy :)

Because GGE is a greedy money grab.

Are they forcing you to pay money? If so maybe contact the police or someone for help.

*Facepalm*

You don't get it.

The point is, in comparison to almost all buy to play games, GGE sucks.

For the cost of playing competatvely, you could buy SO MANY REAL BUY ONCE TO PLAY MMO'S.

IE, games that actually have content to allow players to have fun, not just take their money...

What level are you?

I can't take that statement seriously until I know what level you are.

hmmm who doesnt get it?

like i said, thats your OPINION, your point of view, not everyone agrees with you. as i said, i have seen some people who actually ENJOY GGE, not tolerate it. you may think it suck compared to others, but you dont need to force everyone else to agree with you

This game allows me to have fun, AND I don't pay money for it. It's a win win situation for me! I still attack players, do events, and build up my crap all without spending a single dollar. Yes if you pay money you get better stuff, but honestly what good game doesn't have that?

What is think is that, the OP hit this nail right on its head.

GGE is made addictive, game devs consult people about how to make the games addicting.

The addicting part is not the game itself but the social interactions within it.

Xbox Live was free last weekend and i have to say, when i played Halo 3/4, Battlefield 3/4 and others i enjoyed myself immensely more so in terms of actual gameplay than i have had in GGE in years.

Lets see, for a 360/ps3 you spend anywhere form 50-150 on a console, that comes with the basics, and 1 controller, maybe a game or two, and then either 60 dollars a year for xbox live, or free on ps3, and you can spend far less on that than GGE and have much more fun.

In regards to which audience these games are catered to, i think GGE is more for the real time gamers, who aren't the best for quick reaction time based gameplay. Many games however come to mind, that are still far superior to GGE, not to mention the countless games on Steam and so on.

I would equate GGS to Apple and GGE to the iphone, over-priced, inferior, and overhyped except it runs some of the crappiest OS instead of Apples actually good software

Actually, Gamestop offers bundles where you can get five games and a xbox360/ps3 for about 125-180.

And yeah... steam is soooo much better than this. The only time I play GGE is spare moments where theres not enough time to play anything else.

About quick reaction times though... thats what difficulty sliders are for in games ;)

When you spent a year or more playing and making friends in game, the idea of quitting seems unappealing regardless of how it is updated.

Have to admit, GGE made some decent upgrades and some flops. Hit or miss on upgrades, thats life.

I know.

But GGE could be less greedy.

When I refer to reaction based game-play, I'm not referring to look sensitivity. Your more casual players will struggle far more in genres such as racing, FPS(and 3rd person), and so on. These games rely on the person playing the game to have decently fast hand-eye coordination, and be able to react to things within the game itself fast enough for them to be successful, something that isn't as important in games such as GGE(with an exception to only the more advanced areas of the game) Sure you have to click through lots of things, and that does require good timing, however the images are static, where as some people might struggle with say halo, battlefield, gears of war, or forza... especially flying aircraft where you gotta be doing multiple things at once to not get torn up(If not simply crashing and dying). Sure at the higher ends of GGE where you get 100+ incomings for a mass attack, it takes teamwork, timing, luck, and skill. Though, in general these things are often required much more so in those other genres of games. Slowing down the look sensitivity is okay for starters, however taking 3-5 seconds to turn around in-game vs half second will get you owned by more experienced players, as mentioned earlier though some people simply for one reason or another may not be able to have reaction times fast enough to do that, which would make a game like GGE more suitable towards them. The issue is though, is that GGE probably costs more than any other game to play MMO wise or is one of the more expensive ones out there, and is near the bottom of the list in regards to actual game quality. People play(and pay) because they know others in-game, w/o that the game is dead.

They are not greedy, they have a site and a server to pay for and maintain. People also complain about the maintenance all the time too but I would prefer to play where site owners are active and back up database etc daily....

GGE made 200 million euros in 2014.

Thats double from 2013.

When people start mentioning sites and servers, thats when I know they don't know what they're saying.

There are plenty of non challenging MP games that are easy.

World of Warcraft. (still cheaper than GGE)

You can play with friends on GTA V, The Ship. ARK, minecraft, you get the idea.

Plenty of easy games.

Webmisstress for 20 years :D they start sites to make money, players are not forced to buy, profits mean they are smart not greedy....

You are saying that GG studios is greedy but you honestly make no sense. By your logic it seems that any company who makes money is greedy. They made lots of money last year. So did thousands of other companies. Why are you not bitching about them? How do you even know that they are greedy? They allow players to buy stuff and so does pretty much every other game in existence.

Because GGE relies on getting players addicted to their game; liberals hate on tobacco companies for the same reason.
