Topic: [292445] Is it worth for me to buy rubies?

The pricing is good, not cheap and not expensive. There are always attractive offers/discounts to buy rubies and it benefits your kingdom/alliance a lot with the amount of rubies you purchase.

Basically, this game is pay-to-win.

Should I be hooked into the offers/discounts and grab some rubies?

You can if you want to.
I don't
firstly because:
I'm not allowed to :)
secondly because
i dont need to buy any.
If i work hard, i could make 3k-5k rubies in 1 day :)

Can you share with me how you'll get 3k-5k rubies a day if you "work hard"?

Right, think about it:
Rubies: virtual (not real) currency that you'll spend and never get back.
Money (Dollars, euro, pounds): items of currency that are real and can buy things that may actual be useful in your life.
The choice is yours. Make the right one.

Honestly if you can then go for it, you can level up your bakery, stables, watchtower and even get a drill-ground. Some people don't spend rubies but that doesn't mean you have to, if you are committed and enjoy playing GGE then go ahead its totally your choice.

I don't think you get what rubies are.
GGE is a game. A virtual 'strategy' flash game on the web. Rubies are a currency that exists inside GGE. Rubies, cheap or not, aren't real. They are lines of code. Once you sppend them in-game, theyre gone. No real income, just in-game benefits. If I have 1$ what am I going to do with it? Spend it on a few virtual gem-stones or some bread for my family? Spend it on something non-existent or something real and useful? There are millions of things that you can do to that are better than playing a game. There are millions more of things that are better to buy than rubies. It's a matter of what you really, actually need and what you want to do in a game. There are children starving in the world and here we are, with so much money and food, that we spend it on things that don't exist. :(

:( i get your point but if they don't get the revenue they can't pay the coders and animators then you no longer have the game.

John

I know, but maybe GGS could make something more than a few flash games, noticing how much people pay for rubies.

Yes theoretically they could help out the foreign countries who need it.

I am a ruby player and I recommend buying rubies if you really like the game. It gives a great advantage over free players. But just make sure that does not make you attacking RBCs and Barbarian Fortresses

there are some tricks to get rubies in quick speed

sometimes mercenary post has some quests including lucky penny

1 lucky penny gives you extra 2k rubies

attacking desert prince gives you 280 rubies

attacking dragon gives you 370 rubies

attacking berimond towers gives you smooth amount of rubies (39-40)

tomtomtomwest is right... giving your real money is fcking worthless. Instead, those money should be used on tangible things or donations

I buy rubies, find it useful, and allows a player to compete at the top level of the game, but completely down to personal choice

attacking Barbarian princes gives 50 rubies. Few casualties and much less troops needed to win; you can potententially hit 5-6 Barbarian fortresses at once.

So yes, you can loot plenty of rubies.

I'd still generally advice making a few $30- $40 one time purchases during the really good offers like 200% and such.

Spend them putting level 3 bakeries in all your castles.

If there are loads of amazing offers in a row, like 200% bonus, 4 pieces of unique armour to go with your unique commander, and veteran demon & deathly horrors (60 of each) then you will definitely want to spend £2.50 on the game to get those bonuses. Otherwise, just use in-game rubies like the wishing well, etc.
