AU
The Basterds won. Not sure of the scores but top effort from them. Has rotated a bit on the AU server with a few others placing rather high this time as well. Some caps starting to be developed so that you need to tool properly etc. Will be interesting how it develops with a little more time.
Either way, wd terds top team effort to bring it home..

@Wilson Wang (AU1) each alliance starts with 25k, meaning more points for bigger servers.
USA gets to like 500k, just because the alliances there start with the same number but there is a massive number of tokens floating around.
asia1 only gets to 40k at max

I still think its a total an utter joke that we have to have a thread set up in the forum saying how did we do, I mean what sort of tourney do you get where you have no idea where it is you ended up!!!!! Seriously!! How about we suggest the London marathon timekeepers just pack up and go home when the winner arrives!!!!! Or do you think that everyone competing would like to know their time and placing regardless of if they came first or last!! Come on it surely isnt that difficult, just how many times does this have to come up before the penny drops, ok on most events the positions do not change that quickly so if you are first with an hour to go there is good chance it will remain that way, however you made this event in such a way that nothing happens to the last minute, and places are changing massivly event until the last second!!!! is it really too much to ask to have a ranking published somewhere? or the final standing to sit there for a period of time after the event finishes?
First time around alliances went to the considerable time and trouble of collating this information personally, does that not tell you something? unfortunatly it was only possible on the first event. Come on it aint rocket science!

@Wilson Wang (AU1), on the very first one, the Alchs were at 300k, offering about 16k per hit, with like 5-2min to go after hitting TB (I think) a few times... But then the Seps timed an attack on multiple cities (around 100 or so) a city (probs the alchs lol), and they ended up winning. I remember seeing that...

First one we didnt hit Chemists at all....
We won in the last minute or so. Everyone hit Chems we stole form everyone. Wasnt online to see the end of this but its and event that runs for a few days and is decided in ther last few minutes. Is what it is.

The concept throws up several permutations. Keep hitting the alliance on top and get more tokens. They look and see you are top and hit you. This goes on between the top 4 or 5 alliances. Places change very rapidly. Last minute or so, the timed attacks come in on the top alliances from the top alliances to get maximum tokens. In the meantime this gives (in theory) the chance for another alliance (which is also hitting the top alliances) a chance to sneak home. It may or may not work out that way, time will tell. Thats why the top alliances have to spread the love as it were, and hit other alliances for less tokens, to prevent them from coming up !!!
Oh fekk it, cant be bothered, just smash everyone equally !!!

I think their has to be some system in palce where its the top alliance at different time points gets points and at the end the alliance with the most points wins the actual comp.... not just a last minute rush.
Say every 3 hours ??? countdown timer and it gives 20 championship points for first 18 points for second to 5th.... 15 points for 6th to 15th ?? 10 points for 16th to 25th....
Need to make it so the points spread isnt HUGE so that top 20 or so alliances can stay in it over 3-4 days and come out the end of it with a shot of winning or placing in the "points" at the end with the last hit at the end of the 3-4 days counting for double points.
Also with every 3 hours slot have alliance rewards in the form of reso/rubies/coin for top25 alliances so that they can keep upgrading citys etc if putting the effort into it.
I think a last minute dash for the win is all this comp is and doesnt reward constnat effort. In the end with that system, Terds would have won the last comp as well they were at the top for the most amount of time, form what I saw most alliances dont hit those with semi upgraded caps. Has to be made so that lots and lots of alliances can upgrade so that those points and the result is worth something for the alliance.
my 2 cents, might as well make it a 6 hour comp atm for everyone to send timed attacks, 3ast days just lets us farm alot of reso doesnt contribute anythign to the nature of it being a "competition". Just saying
@makale (AU1) @Lesky (AU1) @Graylen (AU1) input apprecaited on above, any ideas etc. ATM I dont think its a comp just a last second dash to the line. Good for farming but beyond that useless in compeditive nature unlike sammys/nomads/forrys where you can SEE their is a long term total that adds up and counts at the end.

Whilst i agree with the principle of spacing out the final positions on averaging out the score, if you take the scores at set times then it just means you will have "mad minutes appearing more frequently. I think the only way it could be fair was if the timing was purely random. Then you would not know when it was to occur and this would encourage more active particiipants.
However, saying this, it would require GGE to set the system up, and we all know just how good they are in introducing bug free systems !!!!!
