Illusions ? like the illusion that there would be a mortal worthy of wielding EXCALIBUR and uniting the kingdoms under reason and justice to "let might fight for right " and give up their ways of tyranny and oppression ? who the fates? you will not find them with swords and I do not respond well to threats of violence remember ?? haven't we more than established I have no real fear of mortal weapons here ??? FENRIR bursts into flames as counter point to the knights and all their metal swords ...

"TENEBRIS" it shouted!
Tenebris looked up with a panicked look.

"They-uh-are searching my lord, a-and they are coming this way".

"to arms !!" the knights form up into a circle and ready the scorpions . maces and heavy crossbows are the weapon of choice for the second rank and the nerves of the newer squires are frayed and worn by fire . " We are sitting targets here sir ray" says one of the captains as the knights shift to better cover from the skrixit in a rocky outcropping ....
Sir Rey could see the apologetic look in his eyes and new the guardians would kill Tenebris if he had not.
"Kill them and I'll give you and your friends a nice meal, and I'll let you run around for the rest of the day" it said.
Tenebris glanced at Fenrir, who was tied up again in the golden chains, after them, if you kill the rest, then maybe we'll let you live after we've killed the other former guardians.
"NO"! Tenebris shouted, turning around "Let them live"!
"You would be the only useful one, as a spy, ad if you would not kill them, I WOULD"! looking towards Sir Rey.
"Hush naive!" shouted one of the guardians, voice like ice, "You have no place in this conversation!"

Fenrir snarls at the implication that he would attack or kill the innocent knights before they can finish their quest and turning to the darkling voice growls a low curse so dark and ancient that the very steel of the knights armor shudders and groans at the memory of it's power ." I cannot be ordered by ANYONE " HOWLS FENRIR as he leaps into the darkness that presumed to order the execution of the knights "The story hasn't been written yet and I MUST finish this hunt " the darkling feyr will the know the bite of a wolf enraged before the rising of the next blood moons red ....
Flying back through the darkness, Fenrir landed hard on the cold stone on his side.
"YOU WILL NOT LEAVE"! the beast said.

Tenebris rushed over to Fenrir, kneeled down and checked if he was okay, Fenrir stood up unsteadily.
The beast faced Sir Rey again and stared at him.
