I like that way, cos for mine you have to waste 11 minutes waiting to start the count... Very good ^^

And yes, they were (ridiculously) all married hehe

What is so unusual about this paragraph?

No E's

Sorry, but that can't be the right answer. I don't know what the correct answer is, though. Am just pointing this out because I'm curious as to what the right answer is.

Wow well spotted!!! lol.... It is the right answer though, its from "Gadsby" - A 50,000 word novel without the letter E https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gadsby_%28novel%29

The correct quote is apparantly.....

Gadsby was walking
back from a visit down in Branton Hills' manu-
facturing district on a Saturday night. A busy
day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not
many folks in sight, His Honor got along without
having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk ; for a May-
or out of City Hall is a shining mark for any poli-
tician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming
bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small
Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broad-
way's night shopping crowds. Gadsby, walking
toward that group, saw a young girl, back towards
him, just finishing a long, soulful oration, saying: —

". . .and I can say this to you, for I know
what I am talking about; for I was brought up
in a pool of liquor !

Wow, maybe Pinjo was trolling us? :p

I'm still kind of impressed, I would not have thought about what letter was not in the text, nor would I have spotted that the letter was actually there.
And even though I've heard about that novel I strongly doubt it would have come to mind in this context..

I was trying to work out why it sounded so strange to read & noticed there was no "he" or "the", after that one thing led to another, but I have no idea how Pingo spotted that lone little E hehe

Its your turn btw Mina :thumbsup:

Oh darn. You're right! I forgot to give a riddle! *shock*

Look at me one way and I weigh a whole lot; turn me around and you’ll see that I am not.
What am I?

[848625] abc0300 (US1) [None] :: June 17, 2015, 9:39 p.m.
A ton

A ton weighs a lot. But if you flip the word and read i from right to left and then to the right again, it would be not a ton.

My first wears my second; my third might be

1 = man
2 = hat
3 = tan

Manhattan

The belle of New York is the Statue of Liberty.

- someone else can post a new riddle as I like to solve a riddle

You know, that's not really fair. The rules states that you need to give a riddle once you've solved the previous one.
It's a give-and-take kind of thing.
I honestly don't feel encouraged at all to find or come up with a new riddle after reading this statement of yours....

Yup yup... Come on Rufus, give us a Riddle, gotta play the game right! fessee.gif

[848828] RunsWivScissors (GB1) [GB1] :: June 19, 2015, 6:42 a.m.

[848832] RunsWivScissors (GB1) [GB1] :: June 19, 2015, 7:02 a.m.
A Tyre? .............

[848922] RufusGartz (INT1) [None] :: June 19, 2015, 12:16 p.m.
yes. a ring, tyre, hoop or anything that forms a circle with no start or no end.

Your turn...

[849072] RunsWivScissors (GB1) [GB1] :: June 20, 2015, 6:57 a.m.
An ant gets onto one end of a tight rope that is 1 meter long. The ant is traveling at 1 centimeter per second, but the entire rope is being stretched an extra 1 meter (1,000 centimeters) a second (it can be stretched forever).

Will the ant ever reach the other end of the rope?

[850070] abc0300 (US1) [None] :: June 25, 2015, 8:19 p.m.
Yes.

If he walks and then turn around. So he reached the "other end" of the rope.

[850106] RunsWivScissors (GB1) [GB1] :: June 26, 2015, 5:28 a.m.
You are correct that the answer is yes, but that is not how... Any other guesses? ^^

[850116] Mina0o (INT1) [None] :: June 26, 2015, 7:51 a.m.
How about this:
the rope is not a straight line but laid in a circle. When it stretches the circle gets bigger but the ends stay the same, touching eachother. So all the ant has to do is take a step forward and it has reached the other end.

*shrug* this riddle really has me stumped :S

[850118] RunsWivScissors (GB1) [GB1] :: June 26, 2015, 7:59 a.m.
Aww I wish that was the right answer lol... I love it, just taking 1 step hehe ^^

There is a clue in the text, where it says....... "the entire rope is being stretched"
