I am new to this, when I go to fight outside the castle...it tells me I need a spy...how do I get a spy and why?

You get spys when you construct taverns. If I'm not mistaken, you can construct up to 5 of them, and on the level 3 (max) you get 5 spys on each tavern.

I asked some of my friends, so ask some of the high alliances which side they are on. Although, I don't think winning has anything to do with the prizes.

Well, I believe it's better to join the side your alliance is in. Mine is with the bears, so I joined them, even though I wanted to join the lions.

You probably don't have enough space to send any more soldiers over.
You need to build either small tents (Gives space for 5 soldiers) or large tents (Gives space for 8 soldiers, but costs rubies). Once you have enough tents built, you'll be able to send soldiers over.

hi.... i have question...
by using flaming arrows and bulwark i am able to increase the defense of ranged soldier upto 175 % but till now i dont know how to increase the defense of male soldiers ,,can give me any idea how to increase the defense of male soldier at flanks and keep..

You have to click on the "management" button, on the bottom right of the screen and select to move your castle. The first move is free, and after it you have to pay rubies.
