Well forget about the username, try this message:
"FROM THE STAFF AT GOODGAME STUDIOS:
Due to loss of recent data in our system, we require your username and password to be sent in a reply to this message.
*THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC SYSTEM SENT MESSAGE.*"
or something along the lines of that. I'm sure some people would come up with a lot more convincing messages.
Having "in our sys tem" and "...AUTOMATIC SYS TEM..." would make it look suspicious.

BobFighter, you missed my point. My point was that they have a global filtering system (or i think they do / they seem like they do) instead of applying different filters at different areas.
take the elipsis for example...
just like it is removed from messages, you can't put it on castle names. it won't permit "Hade's Gates"
also, to avoid filtering out the word system in messages , they could have instead pop a BIG message right after logging in that it will say: "WE Will never ask for your password / username within the game. If you observE such behavior, contact support and leave the message be" where user would have to hit the big red X button in order for the window to close

The point is that they DID have problems with this in the past and that's the reason the word system is banned. They didn't just decide this might happen, it did happen.
And remember, a lot of the players on this site are young and English may not be their first language.
I'm fine with system being a banned word. If it stops even one player getting hacked then that is a good thing. I could think of nothing worse than someone stealing my account and messing up my castles/alliance.
And I don't want another window to close when logging in. Also, I usually close those windows without even looking at the message as I just want to play.
Better safe than sorry, that's my view.

I don't think that it would hurt anyone if GGS sent a real automatic message reminding players not to share information. Even just mentioning it in one of the next week's update ("By the way, please always remember to NEVER share your password to anyone - report anyone who asks for this information") might help. I guess they could add it in the upcoming updates thingee - it's not another message to close: just the same one with another sentence or two.

This filter system (oooppss) is acting funny... I also experienced the blank error and also the word "system" being banned... So what's the workaround? Just put a space and type sys tem...

I can't see anything wrong with your message BUT I have found the longer the message is the more trouble you get with the language filter...

It's probably not a bug. The goodgame empire messaging system could be like elementary schools where they say things are foul language when it's only a word like "stupid". Or it could be certain combinations of letters in one word aren't allowed, like how the word "firetruck" it's bad, but it has so letters in the right order to make a bad word. I've never gotten this message, so I'm not sure. You should try talking to a cm about it.

I found it has a problem with "...." For example saying...
This is a major bug.....when will it be fixed.....see what i mean.
I ALWAYS find it detects the periods set like that as "innapropriate", and as soon as I delete them, the message sends. It make no sense

Well obviously I am not the only person that finds this language filter extremely annoying. It got so bad on me today that I was just totally unable to send a simple message no matter how much I tried to reword it, so finally I was forced to abandon the message system and get the message out a different way. I don't use bad language, and don't like bad language, but there is such a thing as throwing the baby out with the wash water. If this game is trying to force everyone to switch to Skype in order to communicate with others, or just trying to irritate paying customers to no end, they are going about it the right way. This is just totally ridiculous.
I even had it tell me that I could not include a player's name because it contained certain letters embedded somewhere in the name. Yet it accepted the player's name into the game. So the game does not allow people to write about players in itself.
