Topic: [78051] Tip for getting a lot of gold quickly

[-78051] Real Slim Shady [None] :: Oct. 7, 2012, 9:37 a.m.
This tip is useful for almost all players.
If you are short on coins, that means you are low on troops....So that means you have food at maximum right ?
Wait for the barterer to arrive to your castle. Trade all your food for coins. the ratio is not 1food/1coin i forgot how much it was, but it's worth it. When you're out of food, barter other resources to coins. Don't worry about running out of resources, that wouldn't be a problem. You can get them later. This method will be more useful when unlocking ice and other kingdoms because -most- tents appear in there. I am a level 42 and when i was very low on coins and troops, I bartered everything for coins and now i have 80 000+ coins.
Now if you have troops but low on coins you can always attack NPCs.
Note: Please no one post about how much coins they get from taxes-rbcs-fortresses. The trick i proposed is an alternate solution.
PS: Be careful, if you are losing food do not use this trick. Your troops will be deserted in a few minutes.
Hope this helps you guys :)

The tent is colored blue. You'll know the tent anyway by hovering the mouse over it...

Does the tent come after a certain time??

[1398713] AmazingArnav [None] :: Oct. 7, 2012, 10:04 a.m.
I dont think that its worth it,because as far as I remember the Barterer takes about 2000 food for 500 coins!

[1398715] Real Slim Shady [None] :: Oct. 7, 2012, 10:17 a.m.
wood/coins gives you a diffferent amount of coins than food/coins, given the same amount of resources. I'll post the results as soon as the barterer comes.

If your producing more food than your using, of course it's worth it. All that exess you produce is going to waste. You might aswell get something for it.

The baterer is still not here

You can't expect an event to come when you start talking about it.

Oh no, wah, wah, the glory tournament isn't here.
Neither is the alliance tournament.
Why isn't the alchemist here?
What happened to the marauder?

The resource barterer is likely to be the rarest event because it is the most useful (arguably). I've only ever seen it once.

I agree with Bobfighter834. I think it is a good trick, but you probably wont see the barterer for a LONG time. I have been playing for about 5 months, and i have only seen the barterer once, and i log on pretty much everyday. I think the best way to get coins is...

-NPC's you get like 800 coins for winning an attack/defenses against them.

-The good old tax collector. try to do taxes every 10 minutes, then when you have to log off, send the collector out for a larger period of time, so when you log on again, your coins will be ready. What i do is i build up as many dwellings i can, then get a couple really good decoration items to balance the PO out. I kind of sacrificed one of my outposts to do this, i build tons of dwellings, and tons of decorative items. It takes lots of space, but its worth it.

-Only when your population is high, try to manage to get 300 rubies, and spend them to set the tax collector out for 24 hours. I get about 10,000 coins from 24 hours, and my population is still pretty low compared to others.

@Lord Harith - I wouldn't do the 24 hour tax collection. It gives you roughly 50 times the 10 minute tax, but I can still probably get more because on the average day I probably roughly 6 hours of 10 minute taxes and a couple of 6 hour ones (yes, I've got no life). So I wouldn't waste those rubies.

In addition, those rubies are precious - enough for a bakery would get you 4 measly taxes. The bakery is more useful and lasts forever.

So, I wouldn't follow that last "tip" if I were you, but the other 2 are fine.

i have 250000 coins atm
or you could buy them from the travelling merchant

The absolute best way to get coins is attack robber barons, Norsemen, etc. RBC's give the least (about 1K-2k), and cultist towers give the most (12k+). NEVER trade away your resources. It's a complete rip off.

Being on another server, I started off the hard way. In this, I went from starting afresh with a bleak castle with nothing apart from a keep. I must admit, I had dwellings to start off with, but now, since I am a level 18, I have got rid of all my dwellings and profiting from the Public Order. It was hard at the start i.e. 30 coins for a robber baron, and now, since they are level 10, I am getting 300. So, suffice to say, my PO is brilliant, and I can earn loads of coins by sending out 3 attacks at a time. In theory, you don't need dwellings to survive.

I dont think that its worth it,because as far as I remember the Barterer takes about 2000 food for 500 coins!

If you have a level 4,5,6, or 7 storage that isn't a problem.

If you have outposts you can get resources from there and send it to your main castle to use. As long as your food production isn't in the negatives and you leave at least one food left after that, there is no chance of your army deserting (unless you get attacked and the food is taken from you right after you make the trade)

Don't build dwellings for taxes. In the long run, taxes are a piddling amount of your income.
