For me it's your idea I disagree with.
I'm great with the calvary idea but only if they are specialized like the shadows e.g don't provide defense in castle and can't be used in attacks with regular soldiers. I would like the calvary to only be good against incoming attacks you see. You send your calvary out and see how many of the attacking army and tools you killed and how many of your calvary were lost in the raid on them. I think alot of the other changes are drastic and would take too much time to implement.
I understand why you would want calvary in the game but i dont think it would be fair to intercept attacks because than the attackers would haft to fight defence because you are attacking them.(Attackers have very low defencive combat power) the reason why i used elephants is because they could fight against defenders easily. I think its clear nobody likes the demi-god idea, but i am all for Heros with special bonuses, catapolts and elephant riders in both attack and defence.
Also many people above me have already stated that calvary would change the dynamics of attack. And that calvary would be a massacre against walls. thats why i am for elephant riders, and to keep normal attackers and defenders, elephant riders would haft to be limited in a seperate area like tools.

How about he get aliens that have the ability to take over castles, take other accounts, cost 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000i00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 rubies and increase PO by 100000000000% and dont eat food and are immortal and never fie and increases food production by infinity squared! Seriously, they arent gonna get even more units.

The cavalry wouldn't be used for attacking or defending castles in the main fight. they would be used for skirmishes to try and kill off some attacking troops before they reach the castle. the enemy attacking force could counter them with pikemen and cavalry but they too wouldn't be used in the main fight with the castle.

Both speed and loot capacity are two of the secondary factors not considered fully in the composition of troop selection. It would be nice to see units sacrificing power for speed or sacrificing speed for loot capacity.
How about a hero unit that is stronger than its counterparts but does not benefit from morale, or a brigand sort of unit that has great benefits from morale.
The units could be trainable in the current barracks available. I know there is an update with relics for our generals to give them bonuses but what about weapon upgrades for our troops.
Avenger- melee attack 150, half morale bonus
Cavalier- defence 100 vs ranged and melee, half morale bonus
Brigand- weaker attack than a 2Hsword, double morale bonus, loot bonus

A lot of those units would be useless since this game only really applies to capture/attacking castles which are stationary. A knight cant climb a ladder or fit in a seige tower. However, Calvary/knights would be really nice if this game allowed armies to be attacked in transit. Image if you sent a hord of units to attack a castle and got ambushed along the way by a legion of Knights and never made it to your destination. That would really put a wrench in the attack strategy. Just a thought.

what about animals. apart form different types of soldiers you could have some attacking animals like trained wolves for attack and eagles for defense. they could be quite powerful but also quite expensive. you could also use this to have salesmen how sell exotic animals like elephants and stuff. what do you guys think?

An upgradeable armed citizen would be cool. Maybe this could be a new upgrade in the research tower? So that way theyre not useless when you get attacked.

you could have duel-swordsmen-soldiers that use 2 swords( quite high attack)
