I don't think the Grumpy Warsouls versus BH war counted as a credit card war any moreso than most alliances spend during events, etc. Not yet anyway. Nor does the Grumpy WarSouls versus BH / BH-subs / BM / BM-subs war. Most of this stuff (from both sides) has probably been done with existing troops and tools, and using existing rubies to fill in missing tools, etc. As it continues into the next weeks however, perhaps some wallets will start seeing more creases, lol.
From what I'm told, those reports Bear posted on the prior page are mostly from just the past couple of days. What isn't seen are the hits from the first few days that prompted BM to jump in.
From what I can tell on the GK sidelines looking in, this has shaped up to be a very satisfying and popular war so far, in terms of armies meeting actual armies. I don't think it's ending any time soon, they're enjoying it too much.

I'm sure Battlehorn is very appreciative of you guys swooping in, though it does not appear to have deterred Grumpy Warsouls much.
It started out just between GWS and Battlehorn.
Beastmode stepped in after GWS declined Battlehorn's (and Beastmode's) requests for them to grant peace. Now it's GWS versus Battlehorn & Beastmode & their subs.
GWS has been holding their own, I don't have any other public comments right now other than it's only GWS so far.
GWS stepped into the conflict between TTEAW and BH; now BM has stepped in to the war between BH and GWS.
*Keep in mind this information is updated as of last Monday, the 7th. I've been on vacation since then and don't have many exact updates. This is, to the best of my knowledge, how the war started. I tried to make this post as unbiased as possible. It's simply meant to provide information.

Day 1: GWS did not declare on BH for this mass. We retaliated the ones that were part of GW and let TTEAW deal with the ones on their members. We handled them as separate issues.
Day 2: GW declared on BH about 24 hours after when their second mass on us started rolling in. BH then almost immediately asked us for peace which we did not grant. Why would we let them just mass us back to back nights and not even get retals on them? We instead gave 24 hours until we were planning on giving peace. When I told this to Ronald he threatened to have BM declare on GW.
Day 3: In the morning Meezer in Beastmode declared on GW. About 12 hours went by Vic Lynn sent me a pm saying that they 'jumped the gun' and they never meant to declare. Beastmode then wanted peace but they already attacked us for 12 hours while we couldn't really hit back because was focusing elsewhere. I asked for 24 hours for us to get some retals back and the peace proposal was denied.
In summary, BM would rather let us continue to pound their subs than pay the repercussions for a mistake they have already admitted they made. Not sure why their subs stick around to be led by someone who won't take any sacrifice for the team, but I'm sure they will realize that in time.
Whether or not they hid isn't really something I know too much about or anything that can be proven/disproven.Bear Grills (US1) said:@TheBlueIcicle (US1) you are way off with your facts. Was some bad luck on Battlehorn's part that we were taking in many new members from TTEAW. As we were doing this process, many of the members we just took in began to have horns pop up on them. Where these players were when the attacks were launched is questionable since they were so close in timing. However, no tteaw players had horns show up on them and then jumped over to GW. Everyone who was in GW for BH's first mass was in GW when the horns popped up. NO ONE hid in GW. TTEAW can handle their selves without our help. This doesn't even make a lot of sense, if they went elsewhere for help why wouldn't these people go to Grumpy King?

I didn't say you declared for the mass. I said you declared after hits back and forth, which is true. I'm not a higher-up, so I don't know whether or not BH requested peace or what Ronald said. GWS started out with retals, but if I remember correctly they began to hit others too and soon after we began hitting GWS.
I'm not the one to talk to about this. My main point in the previous post was that the war didn't start with GWS and BH. It started between TTEAW and BH.
The conflict was intended to be started between BH and TTEAW, but due to bad luck on battlehorn's part, it became two separate issues with both GW and TTEAW. GW's led to war because we got a repeat mass for retaliating their first one.
side note: who sends more tool breakers than attacks on a glory mass? lol.
We'd all be happy with just letting this play out forever. We were all upset when our time with the server war ended, most of us were born and raised in that war, so long dirty wars is the only thing we know.

None taken, but as Bear mentioned you have the facts wrong because it's the version that was told to the BM and BH rank-and-file. When we've tried to tell people what happened, BM leadership made a blanket statement to say it's untrue. When I asked what was untrue, nothing was provided. (It's been 6 days now and I'm still waiting.)
Here is what you do not know, and what the leaders are not telling you. I'll let you draw your own conclusions from it and what Bear has said above:
1. Two members joined GWS from TTEAW the night before. The following day, others were to move over as well, and a mass mail was sent out in TTEAW informing the members. This was prior to the BH mass, and unfortunately, was leaked by someone to outside alliances. Shortly thereafter, completely coincidentally (wink, wink) BH decides to do a glory mass because they were bored... but wait!!! This was a much, much, much bigger action than they'd ever taken with anybody unprovoked in GK family before, complete with tool-burners and quadruple taps (of the 80 horns, at least 40 were tool-burners). Records don't lie: the player movement plans (and leaks thereof) predate the BH mass, the leader of BH attempted to try and pass it off as a bored glory mass, and they kept it up for hours.
2. I personally messaged tom88us when I heard of all the horns showing up. At this time the horns could not be opened for details so I assumed it was a normal glory mass or a retaliation for something I was unaware of. So I asked him if it was a glory mass, a response to something, or 'other.' He claimed it was a random glory mass because they were bored of events.
3. But within minutes I was seeing screenshots of 40+ toolburners, and multiple double-and-triple taps on the same castles. Few or no glory flags. I messaged tom88us saying this was bad, very bad, what's going on? Unfortunately, he's a shape-shifter, and turned into an ostrich and plunged his head into the sand. I've never heard from him again. I really hope he's okay!!!
4. The events Bear mentioned above... GWS retaliates for the hits on them. Back-and-forths start occurring. But when BH decided to keep it up, and even massed them twice, continuing all the toolburns, GWS said enough was enough. BH now found themselves a war. A real one. BH is not getting off the hook after just a few hours or a day of embarrassment. Especially not when the leaders of BH and BM keep trying the put a spin on how this came about.
I'm sorry you and others (and subs) got involved in this. But on the bright side, they're only dealing with GWS. Right now it's 15-on-1.
Long story short, it really was bad timing for BH members. By that I mean the rank-and-file who were not privy to what others had found out. TTEAW and GWS are understandably very irritated with BH, and as we've seen, it's not going to be fixed by BM trying to bail BH out when things turned south on them.

Regardless, @GWS, someone show me more reports of anaryne cucking. Those were plentiful and beautiful hits.

Silly uninvolved troll, I've been very involved. Even predating the BH mass, and it was me in those messages with tom88us and BM leadership.
The length was so I don't have to elaborate later or add to it. It's all there in one post, not leaving anything out (don't you hate partial truths?)
Besides, novels are beautiful.
Well, it would depend on what the meaning of involved would be in this context. As I meant in sending hits or taking them, of which I have not seen any blubbery sea cow reports. Though I'm not here to argue semantics with aquatic based mammals.Manatee (US1) said:TannerM. (US1) said:Good ole T, not even involved yet still writing longer novels than Bear. Never change qt.

And yes, novels are works of wonder.
I was involved in the context of being intimately familiar with the events leading up to, and creating, the current situation. But you're right, I have not been on the sending or receiving end of attacks. I have a bone to pick with Bear about that, lol. A later time maybe...

1) Yep, we felt we had a spy in our alliance. We removed some people to help reduce it but one can only hope...
Was this caused by Boredom? Yes, I think Ronald1 and few top members at the very least are bored of events. Was it it for ingame glory points? Not really but you could still say it was for "glory"...It was not of course to obtain in game glory titles or whatever.
2) LOL, I sort of remember that story being said in chat. I don't think Tom really cared what story was said. Can't quite remember the exact words but yep saying it was a glory run was more of I can't think of a better reason excuse etc.
3) If I recall, tool burners were really encouraged by players to weak to send full attacks.
Practice with war, practice making masses, practice defending etc. More of a practice war.
LOL, should have archived a message saying something along the lines
"Leadership failed" something another. We learned where we need to improve. Some other stuff. Think this was before Tom asked for peace...I wish I had a good memory. Close enough!
4) I think Both Tom and Ronald are actually pleased with the way things have been going. Neither like players who are afraid to get burned and this does give the opportunity to see who is. Win or lose Battlehorn should emerge more experienced.
5) I know Grumpy subs were being hit then declared that no hits on other than GWS. Don't really understand the politics of most of what goes on but I'm pretty sure it isn't 15 alliances vs 1.
A few things I'll just bring up not really mentioned.
A) We had a player stealing rv and we booted him. So far far RV are not in play and I know I want to keep it that way. Both Tom and Ronald agree on that.

C) Win or lose we can all be happy remembering this is a war game and burning is part of it. Losing battles battles, and winning battles etc are both needed to make the game fun. Imagine if I won every defense with ease. I wouldn't care to improve my casts. Imagine if I won every attack with ease. I wouldn't care to get better commanders. Both winning and losing are vital to this game.
Everything seems to be good so long as no one loses RV etc
D) I know both Tom and Ronald dislike the Mist so good on you lot for burning them. Apparently they spam messages lol
I wonder if you can make a nice list of all BH/BM subs? I mean dang its so hard to keep track of!
I think on Brave BH and Kings squad are the only ones worth remembering. The rest shouldn't be mentionable. I do know remember some players like to try to recruit subs for fun or something. Those subs are really just used to snipe/steal good players I think...Could be wrong though.
