why is it with gge everytime things are going well they have to mess with it?? we all joined up to play a free game that has cost us all a lot of real money to get where we are. i'm in an ally that promotes looting to get any where in this game very heavily. any one keen to look alot members feature high in the weekly list BUT now gge introduce events that are impossible to participate in with out spending more rubies on one hit than the 100 given in daily tasks !! its absolutely disgusting that a non ruby person cant have a go at any event no matter the participation rate wake up look at players leaving the game and new ones starting way you guys going the ruby experts will be playing alone
you can shear a sheep every year only get to skin it once
Wow. Did you actually type that with a straight face?CM Arcanine said:Hey guys,
I can appreciate that you might not be a big fan of the Berimond Invasion, but some constructive criticism would be much appreciated. Any comments about how to improve the event would definitely be welcome, as just 'we also don't like this' doesn't really help us.
Cheers,
Steve.
We tried that and have tried that on every pathetic "upgrade" to events GGS has completed. I would list all the threads but I don't have all night to sit here typing.
I can't believe you actually typed that.....astounding.

Obviously something won't be changed during this run of the event, but it's possible that we'd make some for the next edition.

Steve.
Hey SteveCM Arcanine said:@Graylen (AU1) Sorry that you feel that way, but there will never be an event that entirely keeps everyone happy. We pass your feedback on to the team, they analyse it and see what is viable to be changed. Since a lot of you have made some very constructive points, it gives me a lot to work with in terms of explaining what the problem is and how we should resolve it.

Any ideas on what the tipping point is for complaints before you/GGS accept something is screwed. We (and by we I mean the other alliances I have been in contact with), note the intention to reduce the coins on Nomads/Samurai's - given all this (and other) threads have posted, I am sure the point we have made is not exactly subtle.
Stop screwing with things that are working perfectly fine, just to line your pockets.
Before you earn like 35k gold in every hit on Berimond and loose like 20-30 Soldiers, now you get 3k gold and loose 75-85 Soldiers even with good commanders and Equipment,
Where have GG thought that we can earn gold enough to upgrade equipment's and so on??
A unique equipment's with all 4 parts cost like 20milj gold and it´s absolute impossible to earn that amount of gold nowadays.
I am very close to stop playing this game, I have spend a real lot of Money under a couple of years and is prepared to contentiously playing and even buy rubies but NOT if GG makes this game impossible to play like this gold issue.
Best regards
Zorx
I see that the coins here are not ideal, and I'll make sure that the team know about this (as well as your other points of feedback). As mentioned in another thread though, I can confirm that the Nomad/Samurai coin numbers are not as low as the current Berimond Invasion coin rates.

Steve.

Nomads or Sammys is comming next. Please delay it even if we get no event for a bit, please until you can explain to the Dev team the flow on effects and how it changes gameplay. GGE is a data driven company, hence the data says you will earn more by putting people in a situation where they have to spend to play or participate in therse events.
Graylen is the equivelant of Kryptonite to myself in game. Along with many other members of Grays alliance. For the sake of disagreeing I would just because normally!
Yet these changes are so drastic with how this new Berri event is panning out and what is around the corner with reduction in coins for Nomads and Sammys that ill dance with the devil so to speak and damn the consequences. The nature of the game and the community that exists it is in our interests to give you that feedback to enhance the game however we sit here going, Steve will pass it on.... Then nothing will happen again.
I have to say, are you able to ask the team to seek feedback on some things such as this before implementing it. Dont pass it back but actively seek that feedback before implementing some of these changes. You dont like me, fine, ask Graylen, you pick the people that you respect their opinions and ask them what their thoughts are.
Example would be along the lines of:
Hi guys were planning a new event, this is the outline, what are some things that you beleive would be constructive and enhance this new event. What do you want to see, what dont you want to see. All of those questions their will be things where we want it to be done one way and it cant be done from a commercial perspective, as a group, we understand that. However what is occuring at present just shocks us on this end as consumers. You need some way of testing these changes and understanding the reaction that will occur in the community.
You have to make a buck, we have to enjoy the game were playing. Otherwise we dont play and you dont make a buck.
The coin economy is being removed and replaced by a ruby orientated economy. Ironically their is 10% off upgrades at the tech atm for ruby upgrades, yet coin upgrades are the same cost and now we get even less coins to spend at the tech. Just wack, plain and simple its crazy seeing things like that.

Hi SteveCM Arcanine said:Everything you mention is forwarded, so don't worry, there's no system with 'X number of complaints' and so on. It's forwarded, then the game team/balancing team will analyse the situation and make changes accordingly.

Sorry but I am calling this for what it is. BS.
I recently was made aware of a Ruby boycott on the UK servers over a change made. Sure enough the change was reverted once it became apparent GGS was going to be severely hit in their hip pocket.
Perhaps this is the only real way GGS will listen. Not an approach I like, but if its good for the goose.....
Agree with a lot here and its nearing a tipping point for me also, the enjoyment has gone as its a constant battle.
why not hit fire n sand towers and beri campshamsters1 (GB1) said:The coins from this beri event suck big time , think i will stick to bashing towers in sands and fire and only make a token gesture with berimond does green, far to costly
And Steve do the developers come on these forums themselves or is it just you passing our collective Ire on to them
after all these updates i don't believe they know how to read the forum.riz5 (GB1) said:Yup totally agree with everyone else on here, whilst the resources are useful the cost of getting them, is not even nearly cost effective. 3K in coins???? and then we have the, not enough tool slots to even get close to cancelling out wall tools so we are stuck with the choice of use ruby tools to stop us losing troops or lose troops and save ruby tools either way the only beneficiary to this scenario is GGE , but this is a very short sighted business plan as there are a lot of players that WILL quit the next F##k Up that occurs. and with GGEs record that won't be long in coming. I for one will not be participating very much in this event, I will do a few hits so that I can contribute to the Alliance rewards to help out my Alliance,
And Steve do the developers come on these forums themselves or is it just you passing our collective Ire on to them
3300 coins for the loss of 111 men, only used built tools though,
150 coal and 179 iron
i get 14000 coins from an rbc, plus more resources - and only lose about 15 men, with no tools used,
granted, i only get 50 iron (so i'll just hit 4 rbc's)
same with an ice tower, 9 losses and 13500 coins plundered, using mainly native village residents + 1000 coal
so tell me, is it better for me to hit 1 berimond camp or 4 x rbc's + 1 ice tower
oh, i also sell the equipment/gems so a few more coins in the bank
The rewards to gain from this event are great. I like the way there is a castellan on offer as well as a commander, both of which are of a very good quality. Also very smartly done by adding another dimension with the two sides and the reputation strategy. It takes away the simplicity of the nomad events and gives players a chance to develop new strategies in order to maximize gains.
However, the coin issue is indeed a big one. As I generally do use rubies and can buy plenty of cast irons I wont be heavily effected. However those who cannot do this will be making a very large loss per hit. Lets say you're using on average 50 resource mantlets per hit and losing 60 crossbowman of the elite guard on average per hit. This works out a cost of 58,500 coins and you are only gaining back on average 3,000 meaning a loss of 55,500 coins.
Taking into account that in order to complete one side of the event you need to send 300 attacks. This means that players will have lost around 18,000 attackers, and made a total loss of 16,650,000 coins for completing just one of the two sides. This is unsustainable and makes the game extremely unbalanced and also increasingly wages a gap between those who spend a lot of money on the game and those who are not able to.
I would strongly advise that you look into the coin issue and consider either making it easier to hit the berimond camps with less troops and less losses, or you increase the coins that you earn back to the nomad/samurai standard of 29/30k coins. Another idea could be to bring over the troops that are exclusive to berimond and recruited out of the "Training camp" - they could be brought over to The Great Kingdom and still be exclusive to the Berimond event. They are quick to recruit and have decent stats. This would make the event that bit more enjoyable being able to attack more.
Nice idea.fresh8 (GB1) said:Hi Steve,

Issues:
Small coin return compared to troop loss (re-recruiting)
Under level 70 camps need to use of ruby tools- Example http://prntscr.com/a7v79q Terrible
The rewards although great for massive ruby players/chest buyers - Just increases the already massive gap between the average but highly active player. TOP 20 5 1 - Surely you see this?
Also @CM Arcanine did you mention new tools would be able to be produce via resources ?Found and added.
If so ITS BROKE,
Only positive is the Items for playing the game and alliance ones - Seems like another 'cash cow' Please personally pass on the delevopers need better ideas. This is just a clone of nomad and samurai - YOU BORING US
Thus making this event very frustrating for thousands of players.
Once the slump comes and the higher players get bored with these similar events. You will see a massive fall in profit - your literally alienating the high active moderate ruby players which collectively most likely is a higher revenue.

CM Arcanine said:The tools will be purchased for resources, from the Nomad/Samurai vendor, meaning you can still construct regular tools in your Siege Workshop.
The camps will be based on your level.
Individually available, and a set distance from your castle. They'll respawn once you defeat one.
Samurai and Nomad camps will have Iron available to them.
Thanks to everyone for their feedback so far. If there's any questions I've missed, please do poke me and I'll get an answer to you as soon as I can.
Regarding the coins, this is simply a matter of the game economy as a whole. If the amount of coins incoming is far too high, it removes the difficulty from certain aspects of the game, which isn't something we wanted to do. That being said, I'll forward your feedback regarding lower level players (as they can't earn Iron), and get back to you when I can.
I'd also like to mention that introducing this update does not mean that we are not spending time looking into the Nomad issues of last week, for the affected servers. This is still a top priority issue for us.
All the best,
Steve.
