We did recommend on another thread this morning that players didn't hit.
Provided it's clear that the extra 40 days were a mistake, and it's pretty clearly that wasn't intentional, players know what the rule in the contract says about taking advantage of a fault. That in the absence of anything at all from GGE players with problems feeding troops weren't acting unreasonably in my view to make a small number of hits to secure food to ensure troops didn't starve. Given the uncertainty some players have expressed the view on the other thread that they were hitting because they were worried about losing a place they worked hard to secure in top 50 or 100.
As far as I can see rewards are awarded on basis of what the scores were when the event reached it's scheduled finished time of 8.30 or so this morning. Given the warnings and recommendations players who have continued to hit have done so at risk.
I know which players were behind and now are in front and have kept a list just in case so not sure that's a massive issue. Provided they don't get rewards which weren't earned during the scheduled event time I wouldn't see it as an issue, unless they've put in thousands of hits not sure the benefit is massive. I think the impact on FI and underworld would be more of an issue.

Berimond was use as another current example of the different bugs in the game,
After being directly involved in the Nomads Fiasco and how hard to was to get across what should have been awarded and not , it doesn't fill be with faith
They are a data driven company but didn't want to waste time accessing the data on that error so there is nothing to say they would use the data collected at 8.30 in this case.
I like your optimism though.

. The games fundamentals clearly are not running smoothly nor correctly.
In regards to @staffypl (GB1) and Marabus - I hope they do issue whats owed hes done well , no doubt carried on collecting points due to his lack of faith that they would award rewards to which ever customers finishing in which ever spot.

Because things like this happen so often, I reckon that having a test server where updates can be tested would be a good idea. Therefore if there was a bug it could be removed before an event or update goes live on the main servers.

If anyone has a screen shot of the pre event, that would be worth posting . It said : a BERIMOND 3 DAY EVENT".
And not a 3 day event , which you do your best to stay up and finally get 1st, then to you r Horror it does,t give anyone anything . No rewards , no nothing . yet another mess up by GGE. Gladiators, BSK, and TRT have agreed to Boycott this bug , until it is bug fixed

Just to be clear based on our screenshots there is no evidence Gladiators players hit post the end of the event their scores as far as I can see haven't changed. Marabus was already that far ahead he won it fair and square during the event.
For older players this is something we've experienced before. And in the update section the rollback of the US server is still clearly displayed. Everybody knows the event was due to finish yesterday. Players and alliances are free to make there own choices but my view is clear I agreed when I signed up not to take advantage of technical issues, to continue playing in my view would be to do so, consequently I won't be doing anything in Berimond until GGE provide clarification. That for me is the only sensible and fair option which is why I advocated it to my alliance and the server as a whole.
I'd reiterate I understand people hitting for food to save losing troops but beyond that... Any alliance claiming to respect fairplay would not seek to take advantage of a situation like this. Once you identify a bug or fault you report it and you wait for a response you don't continue to exploit it when others are not.

We're currently investigating why the Berimond Event didn't end properly. Once I have some more information about what will be done regarding the rewards/the event as a whole, I'll let you know.
In terms of this new event, I'm trying to find out whether it will definitely be ended or not, but right now I'd probably suggest not putting too much effort into the event, since there's a possibility it could be ended.

I'd say that makes it pretty clear this is a bug and wasn't intended. If players chose to continue to hit despite forum warnings and subsequently lose their gains they have no grounds for complaint.

Someone from your staff SHOULD HAVE BEEN ONLINE AND WORKING to detect these problems early! No excuse!
This is lousy from GGS, not committed to their customers, while their ticket backlog is now exceeding +10 days!!!

I'll admit to sporadic hits for the coins and the rubies, no intention of getting into top 100 as not interested in build item. Surely if GGS employees play this then they would have been aware of this bug, maybe it would be an idea to give them an out of hours contact number so this sort of thing can be resolved relatively rapidly especially as the company seems adamant on not having weekend support staff on a permanent or indeed temporary basis.

They have out of hours contact numbers as we saw when a server was shut down accidentally one Saturday morning, and it was back online within a few hours. However, there is no incentive for them to do anything so long as people can still buy rubies.

I totally agree with the above statement , Why because this is a weekly occurrence i do not know how hard it is to get thing right , but this should not happen on a weekly basis .
This forum use to be fun , but now the fun has been sucked out of it , now its a a complaint marathon , with complaints overlapping now support running behind , moderators platitude , i can say verbatim , what steve will be told what to say next mess up. it the same generic sorry we are working hard on this.

Steve works for the company - He should be advising not to bother because your exploiting a bug and it will be all sorted.
Hard to accept a player experience of past dealing when my own are so negative - Goes to show at some point they actually did care for customers.

Aye, I do understand that there have been a lot of issues piling on top of each other lately, but I'd like to make it clear that none of this is intentional and we're really trying our best to stop this happening in the future.
Of course, we want to provide the best service that we can to you guys, so we're always looking at ways to improve not only the development of the game, but our communication flow. The way we work right now, there's no one in the office at the weekends, but it's something that seems to be a focal point of discussion as a whole.
All I can say right now is thanks for sticking with us through these issues. Our top priority is ensuring that you guys can play as much as you want, without issues like these slowing you down in the future.

funny how some on here think it bad to try and take advantage of a bug in beri, but it was ok for gge to take advantage of the last bug in nomads by not paying out what we were owed cant have it both ways
